What Are UI Assets?
User interface assets means the concrete visual appearance of the user interface view or it’s components and also how those can be produced technically and artistically. The final user interface will be most likely a combination of multiple different graphical components and parts which will act in collaboration to each other. User interface assets can also make sometimes changes to the user interface design processes, due to the fact that when combining fundamentally different components there can become issue with the compatibility.
Uniformity
When creating UI assets one of the primary focuses is that all components follow some sort of uniformity in order to provide the consistent quality for details. This also gives much more effective way to make changes dynamically when the all the specific components have identical resolution, thus following the same settings within the projects requirements.
Components Package
Creating components packages can be approached from different angles that are example all components separated into individual files, or then creating an sheet (or atlas) files that will provide the desired sets for the projects. Both approaches have their benefits and downsides, but usually in larger scale projects it is more effective way for development and optimization that all similar components would come from the same source file.
Readability
Often common goal in all user interfaces is the readability and making it comfortable to read and use. In certain cases readability and artistic vision can become topic of hot debate, but usually both can be combined for the final product long as it’s goals have been defined clearly for the developers.
